about half an hour into the joint-birthday picnic at gasworks park, sprinkles of rain started to cool the sunlight on my skin. i said, "i think we should head for shelter" and it started to hail. we gathered up the powerpuff girl blanket, careful not to spill the lemonade, and ran for shelter.

since we were already soaked, some of us took off our shoes and rushed into the storm for a little bit of ring-around-the-rosy. amanda and i (the joint-birthday girls) sprinted up the highest hill and stared at the rain falling into the puget sound.

after the waterworks calmed down came xxx-tina with a purple unicorn kite and stacey with red velvet cupcakes & a camera.
